Supply Desk are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Gerrards Cross. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a passion for Geography and ensuring excellent progress and achievement. Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking secondary school, committed to academic excellence and encouraging both students and staff to achieve their full potential.

 

The role will require the following responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Geography lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support where necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum and participate in departmental planning and activities.
  • Engage with students, parents, and colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in school events, parent evenings, and extracurricular activities as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Geography curriculum and best teaching practices.

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (unqualified teachers also accepted).
  • A degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Geography at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
  • A passion for Geography and the ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential.
  • A commitment to the welfare and safeguarding of children.
  • Has a clear and valid DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one.
