Sonic Summary

Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of electronic equipment with over 50 years of experience, supplying blue-chip companies globally.
The permanent role is based at the Gerrards Cross Head Office and involves working closely with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure a continuous supply of goods.
Key responsibilities include supplier identification, cost reduction, daily ordering of materials, and ensuring procurement activities align with company ethics.
Candidates should have at least A-level education, experience in related industries, and strong analytical and communication skills.
The position offers a salary of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum and requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Established over 50 years ago, we have become a market leader with subsidiaries in 12 countries on 4 continents as well as an extensive network of customers and distributors around the world. This is a permanent role and located at our Gerrards Cross Head Office. The role will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure continuous supply of goods into the facility including the purchasing of goods, materials, and services to meet customer demand. Taking lead role in the strategical planning of material according to usage trends. Key responsibilities include:

Identifies and works with high quality, highly competitive and capable suppliers to drive competitive edge for the business.
Focus on reducing cost/negotiating the best deal whilst improving quality and supply
Daily ordering of materials / arranging timely delivery based on supply chain demands.
Ensure that all procurement activity conforms to best practice and Company ethics, principles, and processes.
To work with the Production teams in the event of a critical supply shortage risk
Escalation of perceived risk and actual non-conformities in real time
Analyse data to identify problems and trends to determine areas for performance improvement (cost, productivity, demand patterns, etc.)
Provide analysis and insight to inform the annual planning and budgeting process including creation of performance benchmarks
Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiencies, add value, aid business performance and work towards strategy of continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience Required:

Educated to at least A-level
CIPS advantageous
Managing and monitoring forecasts
Experience in related industries highly desirable.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to our MRP system
Fully conversant with MS Office software (e.g., complex Excel spreadsheets)
Strong in continuous improvement methodologies
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to multiple levels of the organisation.
Analytical, organized and numerically astute with strong proven problem-solving abilities
Function well in a high paced demanding environment.
