Welder/Brazer
Our client are global-leading ejection seat manufacturers, specialising in protecting the aircrew of state-of-the-art military aircraft.
They are currently looking for a Welder/Brazer to join their team to assist with assembly operations, including sub-assemblies and assisting the maintenance team on a permanent basis.

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 8am to 5pm Mon - Thurs & 8am to 12pm Friday
Salary: Up to 32k p/a

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brazing of low temperature silver and high temperature brass work including stud plates, trombone tubes and single end fitting pipes
  • Weld aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel to AWSD17.1/D17.1M:2010-AMD1 certification standards
  • Setting and operation of spot welder, deburr, polish clean and complete ball bearing tests on all welding and brazing to required standards
  • To carry out Proof of Concept and other development welding activities as required
  • Support the maintenance team as required with potential welding tasks


Required skills and traits:

  • Engineering background
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Proficient in the use of Measuring equipment, gas cutters and grinders and Gas Tungsten Arc equipment
  • Knowledge and experience with engineering hand tools
  • Certified to BS EN:12797:2000 and AWSD17.1/D17.1M:2010-AMD1
