Accountant | Mid Kent | Up to £37,000Are you a skilled Accountant with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for financial accuracy? Do you thrive in managing accounts, ensuring compliance, and keeping businesses financially sound? I am currently working exclusively with a company who are recruiting for an Accountant.
Responsibilities:
- Managing all accounting transactions
- Preparing budget forecasts & publishing financial statements
- Handling monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Reconciling accounts payable & receivable
- Ensuring timely bank payments
- Computing taxes & preparing tax returns
- Managing balance sheets & profit/loss statements
- Monitoring financial health & liquidity
- Maintaining financial confidentiality & conducting database backups
- Overseeing payroll & subcontract payments
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as an Accountant
- Strong knowledge of accounting regulations (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (training available)
- MS Excel skills (VLOOKUPs & Pivot Tables)
- Attention to detail & excellent analytical skills
- BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA is a plus)
