Your new job as a Clinical Nurse Advisor In this role you would work through Hays at one of the largest ambulance services in the company, providing telephone triage to members of the public calling into the 999 line from their centre in Crawley. The post holder will be responsible for the assessment of health and clinical needs, utilising professional clinical judgement, supported by decision support software. This requires generalist and specialist skills as a clinician to assess and deliver care to patients across all age groups. The post holder will provide triage, medication advice, and health information and implement care packages to a range of individuals in a range of emotional states, liaising with other agencies and healthcare providers as necessary. What you need to succeed in your new role as a Clinical Nurse Advisor:

  • Be a fully qualified paramedic or RGN.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience
  • Have experience in an urgent, emergency, ambulance or rapid response care environment
  • Have a flexible approach to working hours, and availability for a minimum of 20 hours a week
  • Previous telephone triage experience is desirable, but full training is provided on the NHS 999 PaCCs system.
