We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a reputable M&E contractor based in Kent. As a key member of the estimating team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate mechanical cost estimates for a variety of projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare mechanical estimates based on project specifications, drawings, and scope of work.

  • Assess costs for labour, materials, and subcontractors, ensuring all aspects of the project are accounted for.

  • Collaborate with project managers and design teams to ensure accurate cost predictions and tender submissions.

  • Review project plans and specifications to identify any potential issues or risks.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Skills & Experience:

  • Confidence across residential project types.

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the M&E sector.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and public health installations.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant engineering or construction qualification (HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar).

  • Previous experience working on large-scale projects is desirable.
