Mechanical Project Engineer
Location: Project located throughout Kent and parts of London
About the company: Our client is a fast growing building services contractor based in Kent who specialise in providing full M&E design and installation of Education, healthcare and retirement Home projects.
Role Overview: Mechanical Project Engineer to be involved in the design and installation of mechanical installations on 2 retrofit projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design surveys and provide detailed information to the design team.
- Review tenders focusing on design, programme, and risks.
- Conduct design Q&A sessions with clients and the Project Delivery Team.
- Submit and track RFIs to resolve project-related queries.
- Create procurement documents and complete technical submittals.
- Develop project programmes and highlight key risks.
- Ensure materials, plant, and equipment are ordered before mobilisation.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Team to award contracts.
- Support quality assurance throughout projects.
- Draft and issue comprehensive handover documents, including O&M manuals.
