Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking for a new challenge!
One of our local manufacturing companies based in the Medway Towns is looking for an experienced machine operator to join them.
This will start as a temporary position but will be working full time with the opportunity to go permanent.
Job Duties:
- Setting up of machinery
- Start machinery and make adjustments to machinery when necessary to improve performance
- Operate machinery and equipment.
- Perform quality control, follow reporting and record keeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor
- Comply with all safety and health regulations
- Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area
Skills / Experience
- Previous machine experience is essential, as candidates must be able to set up machinery and have technical understanding.
- Attention to detail
- Good Numeracy and Literacy Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary)
The shift pattern includes days and nights, working 12 hours per shift on a 4 on 4 off basis. There is an immediate start available if successful.
Please note to start with you will work a day shift paying 11.50 per hour, this will be for company training. Once you transfer over to the Continental shift pattern the pay rate will increase to 14.43 per hour.
