Job Description

We are a dynamic business dedicated to delivering sophisticated metering and data acquisition solutions for the power industry. Our comprehensive portfolio includes both hardware and software products, developed in-house or sourced from trusted third-party suppliers. We specialize in solving complex network solutions, Dynamic System Monitoring, Power Quality, and Generator Performance Monitoring.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for mechanical and electrical testing of completed projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of mechanical and electrical testing of electrical panels (metering solutions), including insulation resistance, secondary injections, and device configuration.
  • Oversee the test area, providing input to the test schedule.
  • Develop and maintain testing documentation and protocols.
  • Coordinate all phases of testing and conduct witness acceptance tests.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure testing objectives are met on time and within budget.
  • Identify and manage testing risks, implementing control measures as needed.
  • Ensure EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards are met during project testing.
  • Support and assist the management team in monitoring progress and implementing remedial actions when necessary.
  • Maintain technical standards in all aspects of testing to ensure safe and successful project implementation.
  • Occasionally provide support for commissioning works at customer premises.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Technical background in electrical engineering or systems engineering.
  • Experience in a similar role/environment is advantageous.
  • Relevant testing qualification is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and an engineering curiosity mindset.
  • Excellent time and task management skills, with resilience to setbacks and a commitment to achieving goals.
  • Knowledge of the power industry, high-voltage transmission, and distribution networks.
  • Understanding of precision high-accuracy metering (CoP1, CoP2) is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret and work with project documentation, including electrical schematics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in SCADA, control systems, and communication protocols is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of switch and router programming, integration, and interfacing with communication systems is advantageous.
