Are you an experienced Machine Operative?

Working within a highly process driven manufacturing site - you will be managing the raw materials and automated processes on a busy, fast paced manufacturing line. The role of machine Operator is to be responsible for operating, configuring issues and maintaining the machines throughout production, along with quality checking to ensure accuracy and reduce delays.

Responsibilities include

  • Carry out pre-checks and cleaning tasks of the production line.
  • Set up the machines and prepare raw materials for production.
  • Replenishing packaging and films to the production line.
  • Set up batches of production
  • Manual handling including the stacking of finished goods.
  • Maintain the hygiene of equipment.
  • Complete required documentation
  • Record downtime and work with the team to help minimise this.
  • Resolve machine stoppages.
  • Contribute to and help implement continuous improvement, to enhance quality, efficiency, safety and waste reduction.
  • Support and assist training of others staff.

Skills required

  • Previous experience of working with machinery and preferably within food production
  • Confident with manual handling tasks; physically fit
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Competent IT skills
