Fire Alarm Installation Engineer
Gillingham
£35k-£40k per annum
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Installation Engineer to join our projects team in Gillingham. In this role, you will be responsible for installing advanced fire alarm systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install advanced fire alarm systems.
- Complete electronic documentation, including worksheets, timesheets, and mileage/expense claims.
- Adhere to all health and safety practices (training provided).
- Ensure compliance with all engineering practices and report any issues to senior engineers or your line manager.
- Notify your supervisor or the office of any delays or issues, such as traffic or vehicle problems, and take alternative transport when necessary.
- Update site logbooks with detailed records of all work performed.
- Maintain company-issued equipment in good working condition and promptly report any damage, theft, or loss to your Service Supervisor.
- Uphold punctuality and maintain a tidy work environment at all times.
- Perform duties in accordance with the Company employee handbook.
- Communicate progress or concerns regarding any contracts or sites to your line manager via phone and follow up with regular email updates.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Represent the company professionally in issued work attire.
- Participate in training to expand knowledge of various manufacturers' products.
- Test completed circuits.
- Interpret and adhere to CAD drawings.
- Make informed decisions regarding cable routes.
- Be prepared to work at heights (training provided).
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers.
- Proven experience in electrical installation.
- Proficient in general IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
