Our commitment to innovation and excellence drives us to maintain the highest safety standards across all operations.What You’ll Be Doing…As a Health and Safety Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of workplace safety. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting best practices across the organisation. Your work will involve risk assessments, safety audits, training programmes, and emergency response coordination to minimise hazards and enhance workplace well-being.Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and updating health and safety policies, ensuring company compliance with BSI 45001.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry regulations, promoting safety awareness through training and regular communication.
  • Conduct workplace risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement control measures.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and assess workplace safety equipment.
  • Perform regular safety inspections of equipment, machinery, and work environments.
  • Coordinate internal audits to assess compliance and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
  • Organise and deliver safety training programmes, including inductions, hazard-specific training, and emergency response drills.
  • Maintain up-to-date training records and develop training materials.
  • Manage records of workplace accidents, incidents, and injuries, investigating accidents and developing strategies for prevention.
  • Prepare and submit reports for management and regulatory authorities.
  • Develop and update emergency response plans, coordinating with local emergency services.
  • Lead emergency response drills such as fire drills and evacuation procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational safety and environmental regulations.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors during inspections.
  • Monitor health and safety metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance workplace safety and participate in safety committees or task forces.
  • Work closely with management, supervisors, and employees to cultivate a strong safety culture.
  • Provide regular safety performance updates to senior management and act as the primary point of contact for health and safety inquiries.
What We’re Looking For
  • Health and safety expertise, ideally with a NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent).
