Health and Care Coordinator

Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Gillingham, Kent.

Role Purpose

  • Provide essential healthcare support to students.
  • Offer on-site medical care, especially to students with various health needs.
  • Collaborate with other support staff to ensure students receive high-quality medical attention.

Primary Duties

  • Lead health and care support strategies and develop policies.
  • Work with healthcare professionals, families, and students to create health care plans.
  • Manage and maintain health and care records, sharing information with appropriate staff and parents.
  • Design and deliver health and care training to staff as needed.
  • Support staff with risk assessments related to health conditions or disabilities.
  • Oversee medication management and ensure proper procedures are followed.
  • Work with transition officers to assess and plan for the health needs of new students joining.

Requirements

  • Able to start ASAP
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Level 4 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Experience managing health and care needs or risk assessments
  • Dedication to putting students first
  • Car with a full, clean license
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
