GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Psychology Teacher to join a secondary school in Medway, Kent. The successful Psychology Teacher will deliver engaging lessons that stimulate curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the subject, preparing students for success in exams and beyond.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Psychology Teacher:
  • Deliver outstanding lessons in Psychology across all Key Stages, ensuring that students are fully supported in their academic progress.
  • Encourage students to develop a thorough understanding of psychological concepts by using varied teaching approaches and resources.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and personalised support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated to participate.
  • Collaborate with the Psychology department and other colleagues to enhance curriculum development and student outcomes.
  • Participate in relevant departmental meetings and professional development activities.

 

Essential Criteria for the Psychology Teacher Role:
  • A degree in Psychology or a related subject, alongside Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and A-level within a UK secondary school.
  • Strong knowledge of the Psychology curriculum and a passion for the subject.
  • The ability to inspire and challenge students through creative and engaging teaching methods.
  • Effective communication skills and excellent classroom management abilities.
