An esteemed IT Support Company is currently seeking a SeniorIT Technician / Senior IT Support Engineer to join their busy service desk team. You will provide Tier 2 level IT support to resolve issues allocated by the IT Manager. The successful candidate will be joining a bustling and proactive environment, contributing your expertise to the seamless operation of IT services.

As the SeniorIT Support Engineer / Senior IT Technician you will assist in the support of computer network and associated hardware and software, to enable support for both teaching and learning across their sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor service desk for IT issues by reviewing incoming tickets and reviewing progress.
  • SeniorIT Technician tasked with supporting roll out of new applications.
  • Installation and configuration of computer hardware O/S and applications.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
  • Experience of administering networks, reviewing system logs, backup/AV checks and general updates.
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.

Key Skills:

  • Experience of working within a network/IT field.
  • Good understanding of Windows, Mac OS, MS Office, Office 365 and Active Directory.
  • Confident in dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Managing service desk requests through help desk systems.
  • Proven knowledge of Server, PC and networking hardware.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of SCCM - Windows & Application Deployment, Anti-Virus Management.
  • Experience of supporting VoIP Telephone services.

** Due to the nature of the position, you must hold a full drivers license and have access to a vehicle.
