I am currently seeking a well organised, dynamic, Logistics / Customer Service candidate with an FMCG background to join a well establish team based in the Rochester area.
This role is a senior position within the team and requires a multiskilled, well-rounded applicantwith the ability to solve problems effectively, and an interest in progression for the right person. You will be an active, hands-on member of the team, dealing daily with suppliers and liaising with other departments such as the warehouse, supply chain and various senior managers.
Duties for this role is varied but includes:
- Processing customer orders whilst answering queries regarding stock issues and the amendment of orders
- Weekly reporting of on time in full delivery
- EDI mapping
- Month end reporting
- Stepping in to supervise the team when the line manager is absent
- Keeping up to date on stock levels
- Updating in-house system with information from various warehouses regarding goods in, goods out whilst resolving any discrepancies
- Monitoring returns and credit notes
- Liaising with third party hauliers to book transport
- Liaising with other departments such as warehouse and accounts to resolve any issues
- Producing reports on current stock levels
- Communicate with production to advise on shortages
- Ad hoc administrative duties
- Carry out sales for employees
- Facilitating customer collections
The successful candidate will have/be:
- Recent experience working within a similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work well alone as well as within a team
- Great analytical skills
- Previous experience of supply chain processes
- Flexible working hours
- A proactive approach to work and have the ability to think on their feet
