Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Kent (Dartford / Rochester / Chatham / Maidstone)

Shifts: 4 on 4 off Shifts (Day Shifts only, 05:00 - 17:00)

Salary: Circa £47,000 Basic + Competitive Benefits

The Company:

My client is an nationally recognised manufacturer currently working with some very impressive big names within the food production industry. Due to their growth and the opening of their new site, they are seeking a maintenance engineer with experience within a FMCG manufacturing industry (preferably food) or similar work environment to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

They are in the process of creating a site where engineers want to come to work, where there is no blame culture and everyone can enjoy themselves in a fast-paced but low-pressure work environment where they have enough facilities and staff to ensure you enjoy coming to work!

To do this they have set up a brand new site with the latest equipment, a canteen serving hot and cold foods on-site 24/7, yearly pay rises and appraisals to discuss where you would like to go in the company to ensure you are able to grow and progress within the company long term, free parking and electric car charging ports, and options for your shift patterns and your training and career progression!

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate would be a competent maintenance engineer or mechanical fitter comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated automated environment. If you enjoy an energetic and challenging workplace, but also want to be surrounded by a very supportive team this could be the role for you…

You must be able to work well with others, have a positive attitude towards work and want to grow within the company long-term. The role will include supporting the team in dismantling and replacing machine parts. Upholding health and safety regulations in a fast moving automated environment and conducting all mandatory logs. You must be comfortable handling mechanical repairs on the conveyor systems and ensure the efficiency of the production line.

Requirements:

  • Several years experience working within a FMCG environment, preferable food production.
  • Have completed an onsite apprenticeship or hold a level 3 NVQ in Engineering or similar..
  • Confident working with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, motors, rollers, gearboxes, fabrication repairs, fitting new parts etc
  • Competent fault finding and repairing on a range of equipment.
  • Be ambitious, enthusiastic and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiastic approachable and a can do attitude to work.
