About the Company

Our client is a pioneering leader in the development of premium fuel systems and electrical components for industrial and automotive applications. As a key member of the Simulation Department, you will be responsible for conducting advanced simulations and using physical test data to optimise product performance. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll deliver technical insights that directly influence design, development, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform simulations, including tribology and structural analysis, to support design and development activities.
  • Collaborate with design and development engineers to provide actionable recommendations based on simulation findings.
  • Work with validation and materials teams to enhance simulation accuracy and outcomes.
  • Document methodologies, assumptions, and results, and present findings to diverse audiences.
  • Innovate by developing and implementing new analysis techniques to improve product capabilities.
  • Plan and prioritise tasks to ensure project timelines are met.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in simulation methodologies for hydraulic components.
  • Proficiency with tools like Ansys, AMESIM, or GT Suite.
  • Strong understanding of physics, mechanical engineering, and fluid dynamics.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in tribology and Elasto-hydrodynamic analysis.
  • Familiarity with Python programming and CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks or NX).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as grinding, heat treatment, and injection moulding.

Attributes:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical findings clearly.
  • A proactive team player who can also work independently.
  • Ability to manage workloads effectively under pressure.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5 years of experience in industrial settings using advanced simulation tools.

Working Hours

  • 37 hours per week:
    • Monday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
    • Friday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm (no break)
  • Flexibility may occasionally be required based on business needs.
  • A work-from-home request can be submitted after successfully completing a 6-month probation period. This allows for up to 3 days of remote work per week, subject to managerial approval.
