I am assisting a client renowned for their high-quality products and exceptional customer service in their search for an Operations Director. This pivotal role is designed to drive operational excellence and support business growth, offering a clear pathway to a potential Managing Director position. This opportunity is perfect for an ambitious professional eager to lead and develop a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in operational leadership, preferably within a manufacturing or product-centric business. This office-based role in Rochester reports directly to the Group Managing Director and includes a profit-based bonus.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and timeliness across production, inventory management, and logistics.

  • Information Technology Management: Leverage technology to enhance operational processes, ensuring CRM systems and stock control processes are optimised and continuously developed.

  • Team Development: Cultivate a positive culture, support professional growth, and build strong cross-functional relationships.

  • Strategic Growth: Collaborate with the leadership team to identify opportunities, streamline processes, and implement best practices to scale the business.

  • CRM & Stock Control: Manage and improve CRM systems and stock control processes to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency.

  • Customer Focus: Maintain robust relationships with customers, ensuring high satisfaction and continuous service improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in operational leadership, ideally in a manufacturing or product-driven environment.
