Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrically Biased)

Location: RochesterHours: 4 on 4 off rotating day shifts (no over night)Salary: up to £50,000

Join our dynamic Engineering team and play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our facility. As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you'll ensure the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery through planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain machinery to optimal standards, reducing downtime and ensuring efficiency.
  • Quickly identify and resolve faults, communicating effectively with the team.
  • Implement a systematic planned maintenance programme.
  • Collaborate with production teams to schedule service or repair work.
  • Manage critical spare parts stock and order replacements as needed.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations while ensuring safe work practices.
  • Continuously develop your technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical qualifications such as an apprenticeship (City & Guilds), HNC, ONC, NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent.
  • Strong electrical foundation complemented by mechanical skills.
  • Experience with PLC fault-finding and diagnostics.
  • Proficient in using CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills (minimum B2 level in English).
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
