Class Teacher with Phase Lead - Rochester

Full-Time - MPS-UPS + TLR - Immediate Start

Tradewind are recruiting for an experienced Primary Teacher to take on responsibility of a Class Teacher with Phase Lead responsibilities at a lovely Primary School, outside of Rochester. This role is full-time and would be to start as soon as possible. Shortlisting for this role is happening right now and is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Primary Teacher looking for the next jump in their career.

The school is a two-form entry Primary School on the outskirts of Rochester, with an Ofsted grading of Good with an element of Outstanding as of March 2024. They have strong school values of Courage, Confidence, Respect, and Belonging, with each represent by an animal that helps the children internalise these values and how they shape everything they do, and how they act at school. Behaviour is observed to be excellent and the staff culture for development and inclusion is fantastic. The school has on site parking.

The Role

  • Planning and delivering the Primary Curriculum
  • Responsibility for ensuring your cohort is supported and challenged appropriately with the work set.
  • Managing behaviour within the classroom effectively
  • Liaising with Parents/Guardians on the progress and/or potential development areas of students

Requirements

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
  • Experience as a Class Teacher in either KS1 or KS2 and time as a Phase Lead would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • Track record of leading in areas of school improvement or curriculum and student outcomes would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS (DBS on the update service is highly desirable)
  • Have right to work in the UK
