Year 4 Teacher - Gillingham

Full-time - MPS/UPS - November 2024

Tradewind are currently working with a Primary School in Gillingham, recruiting for a Year 4 Teacher to start after the October half-term in a Maternity Cover till the end of the academic year. This will be on a full-time basis and shortlisting is happening now! This role is welcome to both ECTs and experienced Teachers.

The school pupil's opinions and ideas are valued in all aspects of school life. Pupil Voice permeates all levels of their work together. This ranges from children participating in small group or paired discussions and assessing their own learning, to those like their School Council establishing procedures, leading on enterprise events such as the Christmas fete as well as the development of their learning areas. It's a school that values collaboration and career progression.

The school has onsite parking and is easily accessible via public transport.

The Role

  • Planning and delivering the Primary Curriculum in Y4.
  • Responsibility for ensuring your cohort is supported, and challenged appropriately with the work set.
  • Managing behaviour within the classroom effectively
  • Liaising with Parents/Guardians on the progress and/or potential development areas of students

Requirements

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
  • Experience teaching the UK Primary Curriculum KS2, Year 4 experience would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS (DBS on the update service is highly desirable)
  • Have right to work in the UK
