£14 - £22 per hour - 37.5 hours a week

Exciting opportunity to join a well-established and successful FMCG company as a temporary Buyer. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the procurement of packaging, products, and services through strategic planning, fostering strong supplier relationships, and executing successful negotiations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in purchasing, particularly within the manufacturing, FMCG, or food sectors.
Please note that this role is a 6 month fixed term contract.
Duties include:
- Develop supplier relationships and ongoing negotiations.
- Raising, placing and tracking purchase orders.
- Extensive monitoring of stock levels, order progressions and usage to ensure material is available when required.
- Purchasing packaging/ingredients.
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels.
- Other projects and such tasks as and when required.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Proven relevant experience within manufacturing.
- Strong Excel skills.
- An excellent communicator with first rate interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Available to start work immediately.
- CIPS qualification (desirable not essential).
