Our client, a leading M&E company, is seeking an M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This role is crucial in managing the financial and contractual aspects of M&E projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The successful candidate will have experience in cost management, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting for M&E projects.
Quantity Surveyor
Package:
- Up to £60,000 basic salary

Quantity Surveyor
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for M&E projects.
- Monitor project costs and variations, ensuring alignment with budget and contractual terms.
- Identify and manage cost risks, implementing strategies to mitigate financial exposure.
- Manage the procurement process, including tendering and negotiating with suppliers/subcontractors.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations.
- Prepare and submit valuations, interim applications, and final accounts.
- Assess and negotiate contract variations and change orders.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and commercial teams to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Attend progress meetings, providing updates on commercial and contractual matters.
- Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions and contractual communications.
- Provide regular cost reports and financial analysis to senior management.

Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor in construction or building services.
- Strong knowledge of M&E systems, materials, and installation processes.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills for supplier and client interactions.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, or a related field (HNC/HND/Degree preferred).
