Our client, a leading aerospace engineering firm based in Rochester, are looking to recruit Production Operatives to work in their Foundry to assist in the aluminium investment casting process.
As a Foundry Production Operative your main duties will include:
- Aluminium melt preparation prior to casting
- Cleaning and preparing moulds for casting
- Pouring molten metal into the moulds (casting)
- Moving moulds following casting
- Removing the ceramic shell from the finished cast
- Reporting any issues with production machinery to team leaders
The ideal Foundry Production Operative will have:
- High degree of physical fitness. This is a strenuous role with a high degree of manual handling.
- Experience in a Manufacturing/Factory/Production/Construction environment.
- A good work ethic, a good level of physical coordination and excellent time keeping skills.
- All PPE provided.
Hours of Work
- Monday to Thursday 6am - 4.30pm - 40 hours per week
There is the opportunity for optional overtime in other departments on Friday.
