Are you an experienced and confident Science Teacher capable of teaching all three Sciences across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching experience considered an advantage?

Supply Desk are collaborating with a popular and friendly secondary school in Gillingham, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, to find a dedicated Science Teacher for a long-term position with full teacher responsibilities, starting in January 2025 (or sooner for the right candidate). This supportive school is committed to nurturing both students and staff, fostering innovative teaching practices for a rewarding educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach KS5.
  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and meet diverse learning needs.
  • Track and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and individual support.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and school-wide events.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Has a degree in Science or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching all three Sciences at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience advantageous).
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with a proactive and approachable attitude.
  • DBS registered on the update service (or willing to obtain).
