Engineers Assistant£26000Rochester

We are a reputable and expanding maintenance and installation business with a focus on working at height safety and BMU maintenance. As specialists in this field, we are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Working at Height Safety Technician.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a lead engineer as part of a 2-person site team to install, maintain, and repair various permanent access equipment and fall protection systems.
  • Install and maintain permanent access equipment WAH systems, including fall restraint and fall arrest safety wire systems, fixed access ladders, handrail systems, gantries, and walkways.
  • Option to work alongside BMU engineers to maintain, repair, and test Building Maintenance Units (BMUs) on client sites.
  • Travel to and from job locations primarily within the Southeast, with a focus on London and the M25 area.
  • Meet the lead engineer at designated meeting points and travel to job sites in a company vehicle.

Benefits:38.5-hour paid working week with a paid lunch break.Monday to Friday with a 3pm finish on a Friday.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience within the Work at Height industry.
  • Previous experience in similar roles or industries (e.g., LOLER inspections, BMUs, eyebolts, safety wire systems, guardrails).
  • Mechanical or electrical Engineering experience.
