About the Role

As a Safe House Advocate, you’ll provide vital emotional and practical support to survivors of trafficking and modern slavery. Working in a safe and secure environment, you’ll help individuals navigate through the recovery process, access essential rights and services, and build brighter futures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of residents recognized within the National Referral Mechanism (NRM)
  • Advocate for residents to access ECAT rights and navigate the NRM process
  • Assess risks, implement safeguarding measures, and respond promptly to incidents
  • Conduct regular health and safety checks to maintain a secure living environment
  • Hold key work sessions, recording interactions on case management systems
  • Liaise with public and private services to meet residents’ diverse needs
  • Draft professional correspondence to agencies like the Home Office
  • Attend team meetings, supervision sessions, and mandatory training

What We’re Looking For

  • Essential: Experience in safeguarding vulnerable adults and incident management
  • Essential: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Essential: Knowledge of GDPR principles and safeguarding protocols
  • Essential: Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
  • Desirable: Experience supporting survivors of trafficking or modern slavery
