We are a specialist independent school for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). We are currently seeking dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistants for both primary and secondary levels. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a school that is committed to providing excellence in education and helping students achieve their full potential in an autism-specific environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide tailored support to students with ASD, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans and ensure students make progress.
  • Assist in the development of students’ social, emotional, and personal skills.
  • Communicate effectively with learners and their parents/carers.
  • Manage behaviour positively and patiently to foster a conducive learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Learning Support, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
  • Youth Worker qualification or the willingness to work towards one.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with parents.
  • Experience working with ASD learners is desirable but not essential.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to professional development in the field of special education.
