We are a specialist independent school for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). We are currently seeking dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistants for both primary and secondary levels. Day-to-day of the role:- Provide tailored support to students with ASD, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans and ensure students make progress.
- Assist in the development of students’ social, emotional, and personal skills.
- Communicate effectively with learners and their parents/carers.
- Manage behaviour positively and patiently to foster a conducive learning environment.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Learning Support, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
- Youth Worker qualification or the willingness to work towards one.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with parents.
- Experience working with ASD learners is desirable but not essential.
- A positive attitude and commitment to professional development in the field of special education.
