We are seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant for a Secondary School in Medway. This role is ideal for a graduate or tutor with a strong interest and experience in Maths, as well as a passion for sport. You will be supporting SEND students with mild needs, including behavioural support, and facilitating outdoor sensory circuit training.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Provide tailored support to SEND students, focusing on individual learning needs.
  • Assist in the delivery of Maths lessons, utilising your subject knowledge to enhance student understanding.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement effective learning strategies.
  • Engage with students in outdoor sensory circuit training, promoting physical activity and sensory integration.
  • Monitor and support student behaviour, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of learning materials and resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in review meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A degree in Maths or significant tutoring experience in the subject.
  • A strong interest in sports and experience in leading or coaching activities.
  • Previous experience working with SEND students is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • A proactive approach to student development and a commitment to inclusive education.
