We are seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant secondary school team in Medway. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students with special needs, ensuring they remain engaged and included in the learning process.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide tailored support to students with special needs, ensuring they are actively engaged and participating in classroom activities.
  • Work closely with the lead teacher to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt lessons to meet students' needs.
  • Assist in the development of social skills by encouraging students to interact with peers during educational activities.
  • Monitor and support the well-being of students throughout the school day.
  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to education and development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a role supporting students or individuals with special needs.
  • Must possess a current DBS check.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
