Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant seeking a full-time role in Medway? Help Educate is excited to partner with a supportive and inclusive educational setting in Medway committed to providing tailored support to every child. We are currently seeking a passionate 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a position, focusing on supporting a pupil on the autistic spectrum.

Your Role:As a 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant in this setting, you will:

  • Provide personalised support to a student with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs), adapting teaching materials and strategies to meet the specific needs of the student.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment, promoting the student's social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.
  • Monitor and document the student's progress, providing regular feedback to the teaching team and parents.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting the individual needs of SEN pupils.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Be adaptable, proactive, and able to use initiative to support the student’s learning and wellbeing.
  • Hold relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (preferred but not essential).
