We are currently seeking a passionate 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a position, focusing on supporting a pupil on the autistic spectrum.

Your Role:As a 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant in this setting, you will:

Provide personalised support to a student with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs), adapting teaching materials and strategies to meet the specific needs of the student.
Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment, promoting the student's social and emotional development.
Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.
Monitor and document the student's progress, providing regular feedback to the teaching team and parents.

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience working with children with special educational needs.
Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting the individual needs of SEN pupils.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
Be adaptable, proactive, and able to use initiative to support the student’s learning and wellbeing.
Hold relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (preferred but not essential).
