SEN Teaching Assistant- Secondary School in Rochester, Kent

Key Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will support students with SEN throughout the school day, ensuring their well-being and progress.
  • Assist with student administration, helping track and report on individual learning goals.
  • Guide students through their day, offering tailored support to ensure a positive, focused learning experience.
  • Behaviour management: Help foster a safe and respectful environment, supporting students with appropriate strategies.
  • Be an advocate for the students' needs, providing a caring, supportive presence when required.

What we're looking for:

  • A graduate in Psychology (preferred) or another relevant subject, or someone with significant experience working with students with SEN, in schools or alternative provisions.
  • Experience or understanding of behaviour management strategies.
  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive individual, dedicated to supporting the well-being and academic development of students.
  • Ideally, previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Commutable to Rochester, Kent.

Start Date: To be confirmed, pending trial.
