We are a specialist independent school for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is seeking a Teacher with a robust knowledge of the curriculum to teach secondary aged pupils. Day to Day of the Role:- Deliver personalised teaching to meet the diverse needs of students with ASD.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that encourage self-confidence, independence, and resilience.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to facilitate learning and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall learning programme, ensuring student progression.
- Engage with pupils beyond the classroom, supporting their development and wellbeing.
- Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience in classroom teaching and working with children who have ASD.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and inspection requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with learners, parents/carers, and colleagues.
- Patience and skills to manage behaviour effectively.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
