The school continuously evaluates the effectiveness of their approach to SEN teaching, and the effectiveness and impact of provisions that we have put in place to meet cohort, group and individual needs. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Covering a range of lessons, adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
- Developing, implementing, and regularly reviewing individualised education plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Implementing positive behaviour management strategies, providing emotional support, and addressing challenging behaviours effectively.
- Working closely with other teachers, teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to create a cohesive learning environment.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students, following safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
- Acting as an advocate for students with SEN, ensuring their needs are understood and met within the school and the wider community.
What we are looking for -
- A real passion for education and learning, with proven experience working in an educational setting.
- Have the ability to develop good relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues
- Adaptable and reliable.
- Be able to use your own initiative to work as part of a team
- Have experience of the UK curriculum; minimum 6 months.
