Are you an experienced customer-facing salesperson with industry expertise in packaging and processing machinery? Do you have hands-on knowledge of Multihead Weighers, VFFS machines, Auger Fillers, Sachet machines, Metal Detectors, Check Weighers, and Conveyor Systems? If so, this could be the perfect role for you!

About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join our client’s team in Rochester. This is a field-based role requiring regular client visits to develop solutions, price projects, and oversee the sales process. You will work closely with the design team and assist in delivering full turnkey project offers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Gather information on customer requirements to develop custom-engineered solutions.
  • Support the design team with technical knowledge and CAD expertise.
  • Lead the sales process, including project handovers for successful execution.
  • Represent the company at industry exhibitions and marketing events.
  • Ensure safe working practices at FMC factories and customer sites.
About You
  • Proven sales experience in a technical industry.
  • Strong understanding of industrial packaging and processing equipment.
  • CAD proficiency to assist in design solutions.
  • A self-motivated, results-driven approach to sales.
  • Excellent customer communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A full UK driving licence with no major endorsements in the last 5 years.
