Foreman :

We are currently working with a leading contractor within the Infrastructure and Energy Sector, who are currently looking for a Foreman/ Foreperson to work on a freelance basis.

Based in the remote region of west coast of Scotland

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of skilled workers, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with project managers to plan and execute energy projects within the defined timelines and budget constraints.
  • Enforce and promote strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, fostering a culture of safety among the team.
  • Ensure that work meets the highest standards of quality and complies with industry regulations and contractual requirements.
  • Efficiently allocate resources, including labour, materials, and equipment, to optimise project efficiency.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication channels with the project team, subcontractors, and management to provide regular updates on project progress.
  • Identify and address any challenges or obstacles that may arise during the project, implementing effective solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Keep accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, timesheets, and any relevant documentation.

What we need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS, 2 Professional References
  • Work on Civil Engineering projects ideally substations
