Role: Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Location: Girvan
Salary: 40-44k plus benefits
About the role:
Joining a pioneering manufacturing organisation, you will use your mechanical maintenance skills to support on a range of planned, reactive and emergency tasks ensuring maximum availability of all plant equipment.
Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities for the Mechanical Maintenance Technician are as below:
- Ensure that assigned work scopes are carried out safely, to the highest quality and carried out on time to meet the requirements of the maintenance plan, maximising plant uptime and protecting Company assets
- Ensure a quick response time to reactive and emergency maintenance tasks to maintain a safe operation, maximise plant uptime and protect Company assets.
- Ensure required maintenance data is entered accurately and on time into the CMMS and complete any other maintenance records/logs as required accurately and on time.
- Be involved in root cause analysis investigations for reactive and emergency maintenance to help prevent recurrence of the issue
- Actively report unsafe acts and conditions observed on site
- Assist and be actively involved, where required, with the integration of site capital projects
- Work as part of a team with a strong team ethic, sharing knowledge and best practices openly. Feel ownership for the overall site performance.
- Ensure that opportunities for continual improvement for systems and processes identified are communicated to Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Team Leader and be actively involved in the implementation of continual improvement projects.
- Endeavor to assist maintenance and site teams where required with overtime, out of hours support during emergency breakdowns or during maintenance shut down periods.
You:
To be considered for the role of Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you should be able to demonstrate:
- HNC / NVQ Level 3 / Completed Apprenticeship (or equivalent levels) in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Previous experience from a manufacturing environment
- The ability to proactively solve problems
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
