Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a leading innovator in renewable energy production, specialising in biogas plants, to recruit a Maintenance Team Leader for its Girvan, South Ayrshire site.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Site Leader you will:
- Develop and ensure adherence to the Maintenance Plan to meet compliance, safety, and production targets.
- Maintain operational plant safety and environmental standards, with prompt response to breakdowns.
- Oversee spare parts inventory and regularly review suitability.
- Monitor and report on production and maintenance KPIs, ensuring corrective actions are in place.
- Collect and analyse maintenance data to support data-driven decision-making.
- Train, manage, and develop the maintenance team, ensuring competence and performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement training plans for new team members.
- Promote a positive and collaborative team culture while addressing underperformance and recognising success.
- Oversee contractor compliance with company safety procedures.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process and system improvement.
- Other duties as required.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Qualified to HND level in an engineering discipline, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years' experience working in a manufacturing/process environment.
- Proven ability analysing data and trends.
- Strong leadership experience and proven ability in leading a team in plant operations or similar environment meeting production targets.
- Budget management training and/ or experience.

- Full UK License
- Pro-active problem solver, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communicator and ability to delegate.
