This company specialises in the production of biogas through the process of anaerobic digestion at a number of sites across Scotland and have been continuously expanding throughout recent years largely due to their success in partnering with major distilleries. They have a number of new sites in planning, construction and commissioning phases across Scotland and are also beginning to move into other areas of Renewable Energy supported by the recent establishment of offices in England.
In this role you will assist the Maintenance Team Leader with the leadership and development of the Maintenance Team and allocation of workload on a day to day basis. You will also on occasion you will be expected to travel to their Glasgow site to carry out planned, reactive and emergency work scopes.
The ideal candidate will hold an engineering qualification at HNC level or above and will have previous experience working in a production or process plant setting where they have been involved in the operations or leading of a maintenance team.

The role:
* Plan, assign, review, supervise and participate in the work of the maintenance team, which is built up of electronic, electric hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment).
* Ensure PAS110 tasks are carried out as required.
* Arrange and monitor external contractors as required to complete allocated workload, while authorising Permits to Work under the Safe System of Work.
* Predominantly based at the Girvan site, however occasionally travel to Glasgow will be expected.
The person:
* Educated to at least HNC/HND level in either an electrical, mechanical or control & instrumentation discipline or time served.
* Holds knowledge and experience of the operations and maintenance within a similar plant / equipment.
* Holds full UK driving licence.
