With beautiful city-centre offices and a vibrant team culture, this is a brilliant opportunity for an aspiring finance professional to take the next step in their career.The company is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller and play a key role in the financial operations across several sites. This is a varied and hands-on role offering wide exposure to management accounts, purchase ledger, and project work — perfect for someone wanting to work towards a professional qualification (ACCA).As well as a competitive salary of up to £31,000, you’ll benefit from study support, an exceptional benefits package, and a two-week shutdown at Christmas – ideal for a well-earned rest!What you'll be doing:• Managing day-to-day finances across multiple operating sites• Processing supplier invoices and ensuring accurate allocation using Sage Paperless• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries• Preparing the monthly payment run• Reconciling bank feeds and finalising month-end balances in Sage• Supporting the month-end close, including producing reports and reconciling the balance sheet• Assisting with VAT return preparation• Getting involved in exciting ad hoc projects – including cost analysis across sitesWhat we’re looking for:• Previous experience in a busy Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant role• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail• Confidence working with accounting systems – Sage 50 knowledge is a bonus• Some exposure to month-end processes would be advantageous• A team player with a proactive attitude and a desire to learnThis is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a business with serious growth plans and a hunger for success.
