My client is a growing international software business seeking a Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and providing key reports to the CFO, making it an integral part of the financial operations.
Main Areas of Responsibilities- Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of monthly accounts, enhancing financial reporting for all stakeholders, and collaborating closely with the Executive Team.
- Preparing financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement, to reflect the company's financial position.
- Developing and managing budgets to support strategic goals.
- Conducting audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Analyzing financial data using ratios, trends, and other techniques to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Chartered Accountant qualification in the UK (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Relevant post-qualified experience in a similar role, ideally with a background in audit, transaction services, or private equity.
- Strong knowledge of current accounting standards and group consolidation.
- Prior experience with Xero software (desirable).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with experience managing relationships across multiple stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential.
- A proactive approach to additional relevant duties as required.
