The successful candidate will lead joint venture reporting, oversee onshore and offshore projects, ensure timely financial reporting, and maintain compliance with business requirements and control standards.Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant will include, but will not be limited to:
  • Lead joint venture reporting for key projects and potential divestments
  • Manage offshore billing and recharges, ensuring compliance with agreements
  • Guide financial accounting compliance with group policy and IFRS, strengthening controls
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews to identify trends and reporting issues
  • Assist in financial close processes, addressing any reporting challenges
  • Review decommissioning provisions for onshore and offshore windfarms
  • Ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and robust processes for new transactions
  • Execute and update internal controls as needed
  • Foster a proactive, improvement-focused team environment and build stakeholder relationships
The successful Financial Accountant will require the following skills and experience:
  • Qualified accountant with strong financial accounting expertise and capability to assess and address technical issues
  • Proficient in relevant IT applications, especially SAP-BPC
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, across all levels
  • Strong influencing, organisational, and analytical abilities
  • Knowledgeable in control environment requirements with the ability to integrate them into work practices
  • Commercially savvy, results-driven, and self-motivated professional
