Recruiting on behalf of our client - a thriving subsidiary of a larger group business

Are you an ambitious Assistant Accountant or Management Accountant ready to take the next step in your career?

We’re partnering with a well-established business in Glasgow to recruit Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is either AAT qualified, early in their CIMA/ACCA journey, or qualified by experience, looking to build on their financial and commercial skills within a supportive and collaborative team.

The business operates as part of a wider group, giving you the best of both worlds - the autonomy of a subsidiary and the stability and backing of a larger organisation. This hybrid role (office and home-based) offers the chance to really make the role your own and contribute to operational and financial decision-making from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll have a wide-reaching role across both financial and operational reporting, including:

  • Partnering with senior team to provide insight and analysis on performance
  • Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts, forecasts and annual budgets
  • Reviewing and maintaining product costings and analysing cost efficiency opportunities
  • Supporting internal and external audit processes and ensuring accuracy in general ledger postings
  • Producing detailed margin, sales and performance analysis to inform business decisions
  • Contributing to process improvements and value-add initiatives across the business
  • Supporting payroll maintenance and completing a variety of ad hoc tasks

What We’re Looking For

  • AAT qualified, or studying towards CIMA / ACCA (QBE also considered)
  • Experience supporting the management accounts production process
  • Strong Excel and systems skills
  • A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in understanding business performance
  • Ability to communicate effectively across finance and non-finance teams
  • Organised, detail-focused, and confident working both independently and as part of a team
  • Any knowledge of VAT, CIS or payroll would be an advantage

This is a brilliant opportunity for a driven and curious finance professional who’s ready to take more ownership and grow their skill set in a collaborative environment.
