Location: Remote/Hybrid Office based in Glasgow G2 6PH
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 PA, DOE (plus an attractive bonus)

Job Role:

As aR&D Tax Consultant, you will work directly with clients to identify qualifying R&D activities, prepare technical reports, and support the claim process from start to finish.

You'll collaborate closely with finance and technical teams to ensure claims are accurate, compliant, and maximized for value.

Main Responsibilities:

Engage with clients across diverse sectors to identify R&D projects and qualifying activities,
Conduct in-depth technical discussions with engineers, software developers, and project leads,
Prepare clear, concise, and technically robust R&D reports to support claims,
Collaborate with tax advisors and finance teams to ensure accurate financial calculations,
Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely delivery of projects,
Stay updated with HMRC guidance and changes in R&D tax legislation,
Contribute to business development efforts by identifying opportunities within existing and new client relationships.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Strong understanding of R&D tax relief,
Familiarity with HMRC guidelines, tax legislation, and compliance related to R&D tax claims,
Ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured technical reports to support R&D claims,
Identifying qualifying R&D activities and ensuring accurate financial calculations,
Conducting in-depth discussions with engineers, developers, and finance teams, translating complex technical concepts effectively,
Managing multiple clients, ensuring timely delivery of projects, and maintaining strong client relationships,
Ensuring accuracy in technical reports, financial data, and adherence to R&D tax legislation.
Identifying opportunities within existing and new client relationships to support company growth.
