The Company
Able Bridge Recruitment are Currently engaged with a prominent accountancy firm in the recruitment of a Senior Tax Accountant for their office in Glasgow city centre. The organisation have a senior partner retiring in the next 18 months, as such they are looking to restructure the tax department.

You will be reporting into the senior tax manager, however you will also have direct interactions with directors of the firm.

The Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to provide both corporate and personal tax services to a portfolio of business ranging from small medium enterprises to larger corporate businesses. Your remit will also include tax planning for your client base.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
Preparing and filing personal tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, including self-employed individuals and those with rental income.
Advising clients on tax-efficient structures for investments, pensions, and savings.
Dealing with HMRC enquiries and investigations related to individual tax returns.
Preparing and filing corporation tax returns for UK companies, including those with complex group structures.
Advising clients on corporate tax planning strategies, such as capital allowances, research and development tax relief, and group relief.
Dealing with HMRC enquiries and investigations related to corporate tax returns.

The Requirements
We are looking for an experienced tax professional who has either CTA or ATT tax qualification or an individual who has worked within tax (in an accounting firm in UK), for at least 5 years. We are looking for an individual who is able to communicate with clients and who can work with a team and delegate tasks when required. Our client is expecting the successful candidate to be locally based or prepared to relocate to Glasgow/surrounding area when commencing work with them.

Our client will be expecting the successful applicant to be based in the office on a blended working model, the model that we are working with is 60% in the office and 40% working at home, however this may change and you may be expected to work more often in the office.
