Meraki Talent’s market leading client based in Glasgow are looking to add an Assistant Accountant to the current team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation in a sought after industry.  Key duties of the role include:  
  • Work closely with the monthly management accounts team reporting to the Finance Manager.
  • Reconciling the bank, balance sheet and inter-company charges.
  • Processing of month end journals such as payroll, accruals and prepayments.
  • Take ownership of accounts payable and receivable ledgers, reporting any issues to the finance team.
  • Reconciling and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts reporting.
  • Help with the continuous improvement of business processes via annual business initiatives.
  • Handle queries from suppliers and internal teams.
  • Ad hoc duties to assist Finance Department as when needed.
  Experience required:
  • Experience of working in a similar fast-moving environment.
  • Positive under pressure and can meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
