Who We Are:

Live Language is a language centre which has been improving peoples lives for over 20 years in Glasgow. Highly respected around the world, we teach international students English and local people other languages like Spanish, Japanese and Italian. We also train teachers and prepare them for the CELTA qualification and we are a test centre for the OET exam. We have an opening in our office team for an administrator who can give our students a warm welcome and help them to make the most of their time in Scotland. In December we will be moving to stunning new premises in the heart of the city centre on Buchanan Street.

Job Role:

To provide administrative support for administration department and students. Position requiring excellent organisation, administration, customer care and communication skills. This is a permanent, full-time post, customer facing in our Glasgow city centre school.

You will work within the office and at reception, and be responsible for the enrolment and registration of students and clients and a high standard of student and customer care. You will be responsible to the School Manager. You will provide each customer, both internal and external, with a positive experience with Live Language. You will provide IT support where possible for all departments and students.

  • Answering enquiries (telephone, walk-in and emails)
  • Dealing with student enquiries and requests
  • Dealing with arrivals and departures
  • Registering students
  • Ensuring all necessary documents and procedures are adhered to in accordance with quality standards (British Council etc)
  • Accepting and recording payments
  • Data entry
  • Monitoring the Financial Guarantees of all sponsored students
  • Preparing invoices, receipts, statements and reports
  • Providing excellent student and customer care
  • Assisting with finance administration as required
  • Assist Managers in administrative, marketing, sales and HR tasks
  • Providing IT support to all staff and students
  • Making sure school is kept clean and tidy
  • On rota for emergency phone
  • Manage Homestay hosts, including inspection visits

Working hours are Monday 8.30am - 3.30pm and Tuesday to Friday 9am - 4pm, 35 hours per week. 32 days paid holiday per year. Full training given.
