Licensed Aircraft Engineer

6 month + contract (Inside IR35)

Glasgow

£45 - £55 p/h (Umbrella)

Our client, a global organisation, urgently require a Licensed Aircraft Engineer to undertake a long term contract.

The role:

  • Working with other members of the Maintenance team, ensuring that all health and safety requirements and company equal opportunity/harassment policies are complied with
  • Control and Rectification of any Carry Forward defects or Deferred Defects in accordance with the MEL
  • To ensure that planning sufficient serviceable equipment, airworthiness data, tools and materials are available to complete maintenance tasks
  • Complete Line maintenance tasks as planned and general ground handling of rotary aircraft

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Ability to repair/maintain aircraft airframe and engine systems. Line/Base Maintenance experience
  • Raising tasks and issuing all approved materials for the  work via the Maintenance Interface System. 
  • A good working knowledge of the regulations, requirements and standards associated with aircraft maintenance
  • The control and appropriate use of tooling, ground support equipment to complete tasks.
  • Understanding of SMS and flight safety and Rotary experience 
  • Must hold a valid CAA part 66 B1.3 AML (preferred with EC- 135 and or H-145 type ratings)
