Electrical Installation Engineer (SC Cleared) / Glasgow / up to £50 per hour (OUTSIDE IR35)
Are you an experienced Electrical Installation Engineer with a passion for hands-on work and delivering top-notch results? We are seeking a skilled professional to join a dynamic team where your expertise will be central to delivering high-quality projects.
As an Electrical Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of complex electrical systems. This is a hands-on role that requires precision, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
- Cabling Systems: Install and maintain electrical cabling systems to project specifications.
- Containment Systems: Work on conduit, tray, trunking, and other containment systems.
- Schematics: Read and interpret electrical schematics to ensure accurate installations.
- Testing & Commissioning: Utilize voltage testers and other equipment to test and commission electrical systems.
- Installation Equipment: Install and configure motor starters, junction boxes, enclosures, and other electrical components.
- Compliance: Ensure all work meets safety and industry standards.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- SC Clearance (or the ability to obtain it).
- Proven hands-on experience in electrical installations.
- Strong knowledge of cabling, containment systems, and testing procedures.
- Proficiency with tools like voltage testers and experience with equipment installation.
- Ideally NIC/EIC and JIB qualified.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining high standards.
